My parents had a beloved lab named Abby who died of cancer in 2003. They tried to bond with other pets afterward but it wouldn’t work. Now, to cope with her loneliness, my mom has adopted THREE kittens from a shelter and they are bringing her so much joy. I’m a religious person and I do love to think of a family reunion someday that will include both my parents and our dear dog Abby!
