Jen and Mike,
I was quite moved by Mike’s gesture. I went to school with Mike and soon he’ll recieve a package. In this package is a letter that was written before this blog. Mike and I must be on a psychic vibe. I told him to inspire himself and others around him.
I am glad he heard it from his lovely wife. Great minds do think alike LOL.
I would love to see Mike perform. Even though we went to the same university, we never crossed paths in the theater.
I think both of your ideas are greatly inspiring. I wish you the greatest of luck. I KNOW you will succeed by the smile on your face. You are both blessed to have each other.
Our society focuses and obsesses on the exterior of women but never speaks nor praises the gracious, gentle, intelligent, kind and excedingly beautiful ones on the inside.
Just some tips for you (for free). I’ve worked with some of the best physical trainers out there. Just remember, the scale is NOT the most important number. Muscle weighs more than fat. So get rid or rather reduce the non needed fat and strength train those muscles. Second tip, when running, speed walking or biking, if you can’t speak or carry on a conversation while doing that activity, you’re not burning fat just oxygen. And last but not least, save your money on gym memberships or health equipment. You can work out with a simple chair by using your own body weight as resistance if you know what you’re doing. I used that tip when I travel with no spa in house. You can also use plain one gallon water jugs for curls.
Hope that helps and will keep tabs on your progress.
Best wishes,
Teressa
p.s. this might be a repeat…not up on “blogging” and other things

Hi
I seen you on RR. When they announced Carb Lovers Diet I thought “yeah right as if” but just had to see the rest.
Congratulations to You!
When I was younger I’ve never ever dieted I was very fit, athletic, and comfortable in my own skin. Well life can certainly change, it felt like overnight (but I’m sure it wasn’t) the next thing I knew I was 211 lbs, uncomfortable in my clothes, hated seeing a scale, and became self conscious (always) of my weight.
Becoming extremely frustrated I joined a very expensive weight lose program. Carbs were a no no altogether, and you ate very little. Some days my energy was so low I even wonder how I got through the day (taking pottassium daily to help regain my strength didn’t really help). Excersise was not recommended – as they would not be able to monitor the necessary protein they were afraid that you would burn muscle instead of fat.
Needless to say, I lost 40 lbs really quick, but I was always hungry (HUNGRY!), tired and just overall in a bad mood from lack of energy. I’m positive it wasn’t heathly and sincerely hope there are no long term side effects. Obviously it was not a long term solution, as any deviation has put weight back on. It’s been less than a year and I am creeping back up to the 190′s with much discouragement.
I just want to say Thank you!
Your success has made me realize that this can not happen over night, and that the best results (keeping it off) will come in time, with a changed life style – not a crash diet.
I thought I’d be yo – yoing on the crash diet forever in an attempt to keep the weight off. I very much look forward to incorporating the Carb Lovers Diet and getting back to some good old fashion excerise routinely in my life.
Regardless if the Carb Lovers Diet is for me or not – I’ve decided simply living a healthy lifestyle is for me!! (if a side effect of that is a trimmer waistline..well so be it) Most importantly I’m ok if these changes take just a little time because they will last.
Wishing you all the best!
