It’s my BIRTHDAY!!!!  At 9:05 a.m. (is that right mom??) in 1979 I made my grand entrance into this world. I had a head full of dark hair and was yellow from jaundice.  🙂  My dad likes to tease me by saying that they put me in their trailer window butt naked until it I wasn’t yellow anymore.  I’m sure my parents won’t mind me saying that I was an accident, fairly obvious by their wedding date only 3 months before I was born.  My mom was 19 and my dad was 25 or 26.  He was her boss on an Arabian horse farm in north Alabama where she broke in horses for a living.  Isn’t that a cool story?  They eventually had 3 more children – my sisters Christy & Rachel, then my brother David.

About two weeks ago in anticipation of my upcoming birthday, my mom found a very special song on YouTube.  It’s called, “Jennifer, Juniper” by Donovan.  When I was a little girl, we would sing along together when it came on the radio.  She made it my song.  What’s really strange is that all this time we thought he was saying “Jennifer, Jennifer”… and just by happenstance she started calling me JuniperLou when I was in high school (my middle name is Louise).  Only a few years ago did we realize he was saying Juniper in the song, which made it even more special.  Here it is below.  I love you mom!!!  Thank you for bringing me into this world, even if it was by accident.  🙂
