I know you’ve heard the phrase “Best Life” several places, the main source being from Oprah Wynfrey and her personal trainer Bob Greene.  It’s also something a coworker of mine says a lot in almost any personal situation, “This is (or not) living my best life.”  I think it’s a very bold statement that can make you stop and thing about almost any choice.  There is also a sense of entitlement or assumption that comes along with that.  Sure, there may be something better out there for you than your given situation… but that is never guaranteed.  What if what you already have is your best life?

In my own situation, I’m always looking for ways to expand and improve my quality of life.  I believe that you never know what’s out there until you go looking for it.  The results might be a mixed bag, but in the end you benefit by learning and gaining new perspective.  Not to be cheesy, but this phrase is very true: If you love something set it free if it comes back it was meant to be.

It all boils down to following your instincts and being true to who you are.  That’s all you’ve got in any situation.  If you don’t do that, then you are doing yourself and others a huge disservice.

I’m off to Baltimore here in a few hours for a work conference, and I’m very excited to explore a new city!  I’m also doing a big presentation with a few coworkers on social media Monday afternoon (same conference), so I’m very excited about that as well.  Go teeeeeeeeam!!
