Sorry for the short posts in the past few days – I’ve been a busy, busy girl!  I hope to make up for it this week with some awesome content.

I spent my first night at my carriage house on a mattress on the floor.  😀  We couldn’t fit my queen size box spring up the stairs yesterday, so we are going to swap it for a full size bed at my parent’s house after work today.  I. Am. So. Exhausted.  I took half a day today off of work this morning which was so needed.  I’m really busy there too and have plenty to do once I arrive.  The cats came over for the first time last night, so they slept with me all snuggled in the bed.  I think they really like the space (as much as a cat can), but they were both on-edge and hissing at each other for the  first few hours.  🙂  Baby Kitty even slept under the sheets, I guess she thought she was invisible under there.  I think by tomorrow they will feel right at home.

Since I’ve been living at my parent’s place for the past few months, the notion of living alone again feels pretty foreign.  But I know I’ll get used to it, I used to love living alone and did so for about 7 years in my 20’s. It’s still a major change though.  I can’t wait to have everything unpacked and I can just do what I want when I want to!

Soooo…. I’ve finally updated my photos in the renovation album!!  Click here to see what my place looks like before & after.  You can see everything except for the upstairs bedroom, which I’ll shoot tonight.  Today I am going to take some photographs with a professional camera to get some higher quality images & post tomorrow morning.  So far I’ve only taken them with my iPhone which isn’t the best in low light.  It looks really amazing in there.  It feels bigger, clean & fresh.  Please keep in mind that you will not see any photos of the exterior for safety reasons.  Since I live downtown and a lot of people read my blog, I think it is smart to keep that unpublished.

BIG thank you to my brother Dave, (future) brother-in-law David, my sister Rachel, Mike, and Mom & Dad for helping me move everything over yesterday.  It was an all day ordeal, from beginning to end.  Mike also got all of his things moved in to his new house just a few blocks away from our old one.  Sammy Jo & Captain Kitty arrived safely at his house around 8:30 p.m. last night.

You know, I’m not going to pretend that this isn’t all completely scary.  I am scared out of my boots.  Maybe it’s because I’m tired, or maybe because it’s just a really big life transition.  But while the fear is there, I’m also really excited for the future and extremely proud of myself for the work I did on the carriage house.  I really rocked it.

The living room at about 9 p.m. last night.

The Baby Kitty lump in my bed. 🙂
