Once again – fun nights happen when you least expect it. While getting ready for my friend Chez’s pumpkin carving party, I decided to put on a purple wig for the evening since it is so close to Halloween. I went and picked up my date for the evening – Micah Maner – and we scooted on over to get our carve on. I did a really, really funny pumpkin… but alas, it is too inappropriate to post on my blog (shocker). After we finished at Chez’s, Micah and I walked down from her house to have a drink at Slice in Lakeview, a yummy new pizzeria that you must try if you live in the Birmingham area. We ended up staying there waaaaaay longer than ever anticipated and picked up a new friend, Jon Poor, along the way. At around 11:30 or so, we decided that it would be a good idea to go to Sloss Fright Furnace (yes!!). We did both the haunted woods trail (which was much better this year, especially with the slide addition) and the traditional factory trail. We laughed a lot and had a really good time. And on top of all that, I had my back popped for the very first time in my life. Ouch!
I also made it to the thrift stores yesterday with my mom and got a TON of new stuff. I got the hang of it pretty quickly and went pretty nuts trying on things. This could become a glorious habit. 🙂
There is one simple goal for today: To put my Halloween costume together. I have once again changed my mind as to what I’m going to be this year, but you guys will have to wait until this weekend to see what it is. 😀 It’s not a complex concept, but it should be a lot of fun. Happy Sunday!
